[SDL] Detected missed vsync-frames

I have an SDL program that uses OpenGL for rendering.
I would like to know when my program misses a vsync blip, and skips a frame.
Currently, I'm using SDL_GetTicks(), which kinda works, but really isn't
robust enough for my purposes.
Is there a more direct way to detect a missed frame?
