[SDL] SDL test program : no sound, test.wav ?

I am running an SDL test program, it is supposed to load a wave and then play
it.  What actually happens is nothing much.  Also there is no error
displayed.  I am wondering if the test wave file I have is incompatible or
if something else is wrong.  The aplay utility plays the test wave without a
problem.
