[SDL] Cnofiguring SDL_mixure on window

Hey guys, i have installed SDL on my PC,with Windwos XP os and Borland C++
as a compiler,and works fine but when i tried to configure SDL_mixer using
MSYS it gives me an error report saying that coudn't found SDL version 10.

1.Where should the SDL_mixer be placed before configured?

2. Can i get a how to setup document to have workable SDL and SDL_mixer on
window  XP using MinGW, WHERE?
