[SDL] Compiling SDL 1.3 SVN framework for Mac OS X

Are the Xcode project files for SDL 1.3 not regularly updated in the  
SVN repository?  The project file SDL.xcodeproj located in Xcode/SDL  
has numerous pointers to missing or outdated files, generates  
numerous compiling errors, and seems to be a complete mess that it  
won't compile any of the targets under any of the build configurations.

I'm currently trying to build SDL as a framework for Mac OS X that I  
can just drop into the /Library/Frameworks/ folder, but due to all  
the problems I am completely unable to do so.  (Another app that I'm  
trying to get to run has problems with SDL 1.2, and I'm told a fix  
for the bug is in SDL 1.3, only I can't get it to compile.)

Any ideas on when these project files will be updated so the  
framework can be built directly from source without any modifications?
