I have no immediate objection to these features, but I hope adding
_basic_ API does not impede implementing fully-featured clipboard
access and drag-and-drop support on top of SDL 1.3.

Depending on the type of applications, handling of platform specific
data types or third party defined drag object may be required.  In SDL
1.2, these stuffs are accessible through SysWM facility, by writing
platform dependent codes.  I'm just afraid that, if SDL 1.3 provides
_basic_ clipboard/drag-n-drop support, it took all control of the data
format negotiation and alike and it became impossible for application
to add some _advanced_ features.
