[SDL] Problems with installing and using SDL in Solaris 8 and 9

Hello All,

I was trying to install the SDL after compiling from source code in my 
solaris workstation. I am trying to install it in my personal directory 
/local/tcsarsl/myworld. What can be the problem?

I am getting the following errors:

> libiconv_open                       /local/tcsarsl/myworld/lib/libSDL.so
> libiconv_close                      /local/tcsarsl/myworld/lib/libSDL.so
> ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to conftest
> collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
> configure:2727: $? = 1
> configure: failed program was:
