[SDL] CODEC_ID for playing compressed wav file

Hello,
I am trying to play a streamed compressed wav (MPEG-1 layer 3) file using SDL.
I'v assigned file proprties i.e. frequency, sample rate and format to SDL.
File is being decoded using avcodec, with codec id as CODEC_ID_MP3.
But the file is not playing properly.

Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
