[SDL] Choppy keyboard input with SDL?

I found that if I changed the 

 

SDL_EnableKeyRepeat(SDL_DEFAULT_REPEAT_DELAY, SDL_DEFAULT_REPEAT_INTERVAL);
delay parameter to 100, this solved the issue.
