[SDL] On XIM related bug filed as Bug #429

I reported an XIM related bug that occurs on Linux/X11 version of SDL
1.2.11 last week.  I attached a patch to fix the issue, with some
brief analysis of the causes.  The report got the id "Bug #429".

Today, I attached a short sample program to expose the issue and
detailed repro.

I hope you guys evaluate it and integrate it into the next SDL
release.
