[SDL] Regarding installing SDL on Linux

Hello,
I'm new to this mailing list as well to use this SDL. I'm doing an
interactive music channel as my final year project. The current
libraries of SDL would really help me to continue with my project.

I request to guide me with the instructions to be followed while
installing this SDL library on a Linux machine. I use Mandrake.
Please help me how to install it.
