[SDL] a beginner question

hi all
I m a new one in using SDL Package.
I want to ask how can I create a window like the window of  Windows Media
Player using SDL.
I have read the docs but find nothing about this all I have just found
is Creating
an SDL Surface.
and I did not understand it very well.
can u help me in these 2 things.
