[SDL] SDL static link disabled for application QEMU

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I compiled the 1.2.9 source for SDL and installed. Then I ran ldconfig.
When I ran the ./configure for qemu it does not find the SDL libraries. 
What am I missing?
