In some wierd perversion of nature, SMPEG has been ported to Win32.

The latest SDL CVS snapshot contains DirectDraw support for YUV video
surfaces, which hasn't been tested on a video card with hardware YUV
yet, so your mileage may vary:

The latest CVS source for SMPEG contains support for Visual C++:

If you get the GTk+ port to Win32, you can even build gtv:
http://www.devolution.com/~slouken/SDL/Xmingw32/win32-gtk.zip

And finally, just so you know it's real, a precompiled gtv binary is
available, including SDL-1.1 CVS DLL and smpeg 0.4 CVS DLL:

Big thanks go to Vivien Chappelier, who did all the hard work in
improving the MPEG streaming support and rewriting SMPEG to use file
descriptors rather than memory mapped files.

See ya!
